Carnegie Building new tender

Due to changes in the parameters of the work required on the Carnegie Building, the Council was forced to retender the contract to complete the earthquake strengthening and upgrades required to meet current standards for museum conservation.

Council Chief Executive, Simon Bastion says “While it is disappointing that we had to delay the start of the work through the retender, it was important that we can deliver the work within the current scope of the project. The Council has chosen to award this tender to Trademark Construction, who offered a competitive tender price and have experience in preservation of historic buildings. A significant proportion of the contract will include local labour and subcontractors.”
