Vehicular access on the Milltown Road, just prior to Cowboy's Paradise, is currently limited to the splash ford upstream due to the loss of the box culvert.
Recent rain events have washed the box culvert out and Council contractors are now working on salvaging the remaining box culvert units and making the site safe. The ford will remain in place while Council engineers review and design the reinstallation of the salvaged box culvert units. The waterway will need to be monitored over a period of time to enable engineers to understand how to best design the reinstallation to ensure a long-lasting repair, so Council cannot provide a specified timeframe for reinstallation.
