AA Services Back Up and Running

When we announced the closure of the Council and Pakiwaitara buildings, we advised that AA services could be disrupted for up to a month while we worked through alternative arrangements with the AA National team.
We're pleased to share that we've been able to get the service up and running much sooner than expected.
AA services are now operating from Como House, 51 Tancred Street, alongside Council reception and visitor information services, with all services operating during their usual business hours.
Chief Executive Barbara Phillips said keeping the AA service available was a priority.
"We know how important this service is to our community. For many people, travelling to Greymouth simply isn't practical, so we wanted to restore local access as quickly as possible."
A huge thank you to staff and everyone involved particularly the New Zealand Automobile Association Incorporated National team for making this happen so quickly. Despite the disruption, there has been a real focus on keeping services available and minimising impacts on our community.
