This notification advises that the designation issued for the above area following the State of Emergency declared on 9 November 2024 has been terminated. The designation, which came into effect on 13 November 2024 under section 133BE of the Building Act 2004, was issued in response to flooding caused by the storm affecting the area. The termination has been approved by the Minister for Building and Construction at the request of the Westland District Council.
All properties identified and inspected by the Council that had place cards issued, have all been lifted.
