Due to river protection works located behind Westland Milk Products, a detour will be in place on the Hokitika section of the West Coast Wilderness Trail for approximately 3 months starting on 1 May 2023.
Cyclists will need to detour along Hoffman Street, Stafford Road, Kaniere Road, Pine Tree Road and re-join the trail on Hokitika-Kaniere Tramway (or vice-versa).
Temporary signage will be in place to direct users during this time.
