Hokitika Half Price Taxi Chit booklets are available to Seniors who have voluntarily ceased driving or do not have an independent means of transport for essential shopping, doctors or dental appointments.
The goal is to give isolated seniors dignity, independence, and a safe way to meet their essential needs.
Funding for this is through support from local organisations and charities.
Seniors or friends or whanau can collect a Taxi Chit Application form, or a new Taxi Chit Booklet from the Westland District Council Service Desk or email communities@westlanddc.govt.nz.
