Update – 8:45am Wednesday 6th December

Our Franz Josef water supply has made good gains overnight thanks to the conservation efforts of residents.

Ross water supply continues to be most affected due to the extremely dry catchment area. Although the water plant continues to produce treated water effectively we are now down to 50% raw water in the catchment. This is of concern and Council now requests that Ross residents do not use water for any outside purposes including car washing, gardening etc. We are investigating options for increasing water supply to Ross should the catchment conditions deteriorate further and water restrictions fail to provide adequate water supply.

Water restrictions continue to be in place for all reticulated township supplies in Westland.

Thank you for your help! Smart water usage starts with you.
