Adoption of Summary of Technical Changes LTP 2018-28

Regulatory Services Manager, Te Aroha Cook, spoke to the report and provided the background for this report and the Consultation Document.

Destination Westland has requested that Council consider taking the Museum function back to Council management, which requires Council to undertake consultation with the community. Council is also consulting on purchasing the building at 41 Weld Street with a view to providing Museum and Library services from the building and possibly Visitor Information services.

Council adopted the Summary of Technical Changes.

Draft Consultation Document: Westland Discovery Centre Pakiwaitara

Council approved the Consultation Document and requested staff conduct public consultation.

Audit Report: The Long Term Plan Amendment Consultation Document Audit

The report document was tabled at the meeting.

Lesley Crichton, Group Manager: Corporate Services, spoke to the information. Audit NZ provided an unqualified opinion on the Consultation Document.
