Resource Management Act – Stakeholder Meeting
From October 18th 2017 there will be changes to the Resource Management Act which will heavily effect the permitted rules for boundary activities such as building within yard setbacks. For minor reductions or breaches of recession planes, builders, architects, applicants will simply require affected party approval from the adjoining landowner of the boundary which is affected.
To impart this information, open up discussion and emphasise relevant Westland District Plan rules the Planning Department are going to hold a stakeholder information evening on the evening of 16th October from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. It will also be a good opportunity to introduce the team to some of our stakeholders and discuss some ways in which stakeholders can be involved in the upcoming District Plan review. The intention is for it to be informal, interactive and open up discussion as to how these changes can benefit stakeholders.
