Media Release: Harold Creek Water Supply

28 August 2020

Harold Creek Raw Water Supply

Council has elected to undertake consultation with property owners whose drinking water is supplied by the untreated water supply from Harold Creek in Hari Hari.

Louis Sparks, Group Manager: District Assets says “Anticipated changes in legislation will leave the water supply from Harold Creek non-compliant as it is at risk of E. coli and bacterial contamination due to its location. Council will discuss the options that will ensure that their water supply remains safe and continuous with the affected property owners. Staff needed Council’s direction to begin an engagement process before we could undertake this discussion with property owners.”

Affected property owners will be contacted by Council when the consultation process gets underway.
