Visitor Information

The Hokitika i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is currently located in the Carnegie Building, which also houses the West Coast Historical Museum, on the corner of Tancred and Hamilton Streets, Hokitika.

In December 2009, the Hokitika i-SITE will be significantly expanded in size and relocated to the ground floor of the Westland District Council Building at 36 Weld Street, Hokitika. The facility will also provide customer services on behalf of the Department of Conservation and the Automobile Association.

The i-SITE is open every day except Christmas Day, during the following hours:

  • November–April   

8.30am-8.00pm
  • May-October

8.30am-6.00pm

Hokitika i-SITE handles bookings for all travel, accommodation & tourism activities throughout the South Island. It is also a TicketDirect Box Office booking service for events throughout NZ.
