Hokitika Centennial Swimming Pool
The Hokitika Centennial Swimming Pool is located on Weld Street (near the town clock) and opens from August through to June. The covered pool is 33.3 metres long, 6 lanes wide and ranges in depth from 0.9 – 1.4 metres. The pool water is heated to 28˚C.

- POOL OPENING HOURS - Any changes to the opening hours will be advertised at the main entrance. There will be various private bookings during the year which will also be advertised. On public holidays the pool will usually be open 9am until 5pm.
- GENERAL ADMISSION - If you want to swim lanes or bring pre school children to the pool, we recommend that you come before 1pm during term time or before 11am during school holidays or at the weekend. After school and weekend afternoons are likely to be more lively with good numbers of children in the pool. We aim to have at least one lane in place at all times.
- PRIVATE HIRE - The pool is available for hire for birthday parties and the like during our closed periods. A two hour hire with use of the barbeque and pirate inflatable will cost $80. The obstacle course and BBQ will cost $100 for 2 hours.
- AQUA FIT - This is a great way to keep fit.The sessions will last 1 hour and will cost $5 each. Multiple tickets will be available for 10 sessions at $40 and 20 sessions at $70.
- SENIOR AQUA EXERCISE - Helen Keogan will lead an exercise programme for seniors each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am. There will be no charge for this session other than a pool entry fee.
- SWIM LESSONS - These are offered on Saturday mornings. There will be additional courses during the school holidays. A course of 8 lessons is priced at $60. Advance booking is essential.
- SPA POOL - This is heated to 39ºC and is available during normal pool operating hours. A spa will cost $1 in addition to your swim entry. If you wish to use the spa only it will cost $3. Minimum age for use is 16.
- SWIM EQUIPMENT - We stock a range of goggles, swim caps, arm bands and swim nappies for sale.

Ross Swimming PoolThe township of Ross has a small indoor pool which is operated by the community using a key system for access. The pool water is treated to national standards and a solar water heating system has been installed to extend the pool season. The pool is not open to the general public.
